If you want to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 we can perfom an in-place upgrade to Windows 7, if you are upgrading from Windows Vista to a corresponding or higher edition of Windows 7.
Some times in-place upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 is not posible , you'll need to do a Custom installation of Windows 7 or Clean installation. A custom installation doesn't preserve your programs, files, or settings. A custom installation is more complex. To learn more go to Windows Migration
